Pilates & Yin Yoga Combo – Geneva October
The Movement Principals are elements that are present in the successful performance of all the Pilates exercises:
- Whole Body Movement.
- Muscle Development.
This is an all levels Pilates class performed on the mat. Clients will be taken through a series of Pilates mat exercises that explore various body positions, planes of motion, & joint movements. The class may use Pilates props (ie, Foam Roller, Pilates Circle, TheraBands, etc.) for some exercises at the instructor’s discretion.
A combination of Indian Yoga influences and Chinese Taoist practices, Yin Yoga is gentle and slow and emphasizes postres which are held for 3-7 minutes in which one achieves a deep relaxation of the cognitive tissues. Yin Yoga mobilizes and strengthens our joints, our ligaments, and our deep facial muscle connections. It also focuses on stretching and stimulating different acupressure points from Traditional Chinese Medicine. In Yin Yoga, we hold mostly passive poses for about two to five minutes to work into our connective tissues.
- Calms and balances the mind and body.
- Reduces stress and anxiety.
- Increases circulation. Improves flexibility.
- Releases fascia and improves joint mobility.
- Balances the internal organs and improves the flow of chi or prana.
Pilates class of this combo module lasts one hour from Monday to Friday from 12:30 pm to 01:30 pm. Yin Yoga will be one hour and fifteen minutes from Monday to Friday from 7:00 pm to 8:15 pm from November 08 to 28, 2021.
