What is pranayama?
The biggest mistake we make: underestimating our breathing. It sounds simple and meaningless, doesn't it? How long can you go without breathing? A few minutes: right!
You can go weeks without eating, days without water, but only a few minutes without breathing. Breathing has an immediate impact on your mind, body and health: even breathing in and out affects your nervous system differently. It's common to practice diet, exercise and even hydration. It should be common to exercise your breathing for your well-being.
The practice of Pranayama involves performing a series of breathing exercises to become aware of and take control of one's life energy. Learning to breathe consciously allows for greater self-control in many circumstances, better health and simply changes our lives. Connect your mind and body through gentle, meditative exercises.
