THE MAT CLASS PILATES

Control — Romana Kryzanowska famously said, “Pilates is about stretch, strength and control. And control is most important because it uses your mind”. There is something quite existential about feeling strong in mind and body. To be in control and have strength in movement is empowering.

The Movement Principals are elements that are present in the successful performance of all the Pilates exercises:
  • Whole Body Movement.
  • Breathing.
  • Balanced Muscle Development.
  • Concentration.
  • Control.
  • Centering.
  • Precision.
  • Rhythm.

This is an all levels Pilates class performed on the mat. Clients will be taken through a series of Pilates mat exercises that explore various body positions, planes of motion, & joint movements. The class may use Pilates props (ie, Foam Roller, Pilates Circle, TheraBands, etc.) for some exercises at the instructor’s discretion. Max capacity is 4 participants.

YIN YOGA

A combination of Indian Yoga influences and Chinese Taoist practices, Yin Yoga is gentle and slow and emphasizes postres which are held for 3-7 minutes in which one achieves a deep relaxation of the cognitive tissues.
Yin Yoga mobilizes and strengthens our joints, our ligaments, and our deep facial muscle connections.
It also focuses on stretching and stimulating different acupressure points from Traditional Chinese Medicine.

In Yin Yoga, we hold mostly passive poses for about two to five minutes to work into our connective tissues.

LED ASHTANGA
(HALF PRIMARY) SANSKRIT COUNTING

This is a guided class through 1/2 primary series of Ashtanga Yoga. Students will practice a specific sequence of poses designed to stretch, strengthen and detoxify the body.

The purpose of the class is to learn and maintain the correct order of the asanas and correct vinyasa – how to synchronise breathing and movement. Vesta will guide you and help you to increase your internal and external strength, stamina and concentration. Over time and with consistent practice, you will be able to do the entire practice in an uninterrupted, rhythmic, and meditative flow.

The goal of any mindfulness technique is to achieve a state of alert, focused relaxation by deliberately paying attention to thoughts and sensations without judgment. This allows the mind to refocus on the present moment.

The Moon represents our deepest personal needs, our basic habits and reactions, and our unconscious.

Asthanga has the capacity and the power to teach you how committed you are with your body and with your wellbeing.
Taught in the traditional way with focus on strength, flexibility, alignment and enjoyment.
In ‘Mysore class’, students work at their own pace, practicing whatever series or section of a series that is appropriate for their individual needs and ability. The class is mostly silent apart from a few words of instruction, with only the combined sound of breathing in the room as a backdrop. It requires a skilled and experienced teacher able to give individual attention as and when each practitioner requires and with as little interruption as possible to the continuity of their inner flow of experience.

This Children’s home is dedicated to providing the orphaned, poor and marginalized children of Nepal with nutritious food, clean water, quality education and most importantly a loving, secure family and home. It is not only our aim to afford these children the bare essentials, but also to teach them about morality and instill in them a sense of community and respect for their fellow human beings. We will also provide them with a safe play environment where they can have fun, learn and develop the skill of social interaction.
